Deputies Arrest 18-Year-Old Ukiah Woman for Alleged Domestic Abuse of 56-Year-Old Man, Says MCSO

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 05-06-2022 at approximately 7:23 AM Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate a domestic violence dispute in the 1400 block of South State Street in Ukiah, California.

Deputies contacted a 56 year-old male and his fiance, Chandra Silva, upon arrival.

Deputies learned that on 05-06-2022 at approximately 7:23 AM the adult male was physically assaulted by Silva during an argument.

During the altercation Silva ripped the adult male’s shirt off of him and hit him several times, causing injuries. The adult male had visible injuries on his face, neck and chest which were consistent with the assault.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Deputies placed Silva under arrest for 273.5  (Felony Domestic Violence Battery).

Silva was subsequently booked into the Mendocino County Jail where she was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.

  1. the sad part is this county ignored the fact that a 56 year old was grooming a 17 year old and when mandatory reported nobody did anything about this!? why? because there’s no money to be made off of someone about to age out in the CPS system so they waited for her to turn 18 and now they can make money off the domestic violence classes and SUDT and Probation… feed the court system (look at the other charges these two recently got arrested for). Sad story and this County should be ashamed for allowing this type of grooming to go unchecked.
