Scanner traffic beginning at 9:06 p.m. indicated a reporting party told dispatch there was a “building on fire” on the 500 block of Fort Bragg’s South Franklin Street.

When arriving at the scene, the Incident Commander confirmed the location was a family residence and there was a “small fire” burning inside the building.

Incoming units were canceled by the Incident Commander who determined that the fire could be handled with a single fire engine.

UPDATE 9:47 p.m.: Walnut Street and Chestnut Street are both closed as personnel mop up the incident.

Our photographer Robert Bozzolli was able to get on the scene to capture Fort Bragg Fire Department hard at work on the incident.
