Signs-Ups Open for Ukiah’s 2022 Bud Light Summer Shootout, a Men’s Slow Pitch Softball Tournament

The following is a press release issued by the City of Ukiah:

The 2022 Bud Light Summer Shoot Out is coming up and we want you and your team! We have a lot of fun planned for the weekend of July 9th and 10th and you will not want to miss out. Cost per team is $300 and it is a 3-game guarantee (Registration Deadline is July 1). Pool play Saturday, elimination games Sunday. Home Run Derby, All Tourney awards, MVP, Best Defensive Player, Champions shirts and other special prizes!

Tourney Rules:

  • No Dogs, No Smoking, and No Outside Alcohol allowed in the Softball Complex
  • “One-Up” Home Run rule, 1-and-1 pitch count
  • Walk-Off Home Run rule (anytime a home run is hit over the fence the batter and any runners occupying bases are required to walk off the field instead of rounding the bases)
  • USA approved bats only and USA Altered Bat rule is in effect. Use of an illegal or altered bat will result in immediate ejection.
  • Three game guarantee
  • No time limits (Sun Only) but Mercy Rule (20 after 4; 12 after 5) in place during the entire tourney
  • Home/Away determined by coin flip (except Sunday)
