Motorcycle Veers Off Boonville Road Colliding with Utility Pole’s Guy Wire

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate that around 8:24 p.m. a motorcycle veered off of State Route 253, also known as Boonville Road. The motorcyclist came to rest after colliding with the guy wire of a utility pole.

There was a sizable firefighter response to the incident after the reporting party expressed concern the motorcycle lying in the dry grass could start a fire. Whether the motorcyclist was injured or not is unclear as of initial publication.

Pacific Gas and Electric are en route to the scene to address the damaged guy wire.
