[UPDATE: Forward Progress Stopped]Wildfire Burning Near Middletown

Scanner traffic beginning around 2:15 p.m. indicates that a wildfire flared up near Middletown and is reportedly one-quarter to one-half acre in size.

The fire is along Highway 29 across from Twin Pines Casino and the Incident Commander is reporting it is burning in the grass and could grow to 2-3 acres in size.


UPDATE 2:36 p.m.: From the view of the fire from the St. Helena Alert Wildfire Camera the smoke plume has diminished significantly.


UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: The Twin Fire’s forward progress has stopped and the fire grew to approximately one-acre in size.
