Stone Stories: The Lives and Legacy of Those Interred at Willits’s Little Lake Cemetery

Sunday October 23, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm the Mendocino County Museum will present Stone Stories at the Little Lake Cemetery in Willits.

A stone really can tell a story. . . Join us as we explore the fascinating lives and legacies of those interred at the Little Lake Cemetery. Through theatrical readings, community volunteers will bring to life the marvelous and sometimes tragic tales of Mendocino County’s past. The infamous shoot-out between the Frosts and Coates will be presented in a captivating original monologue by special guest, playwright Don Sampson.

Little Lake Cemetery is located at 875 E Hill Rd, Willits, CA 95490. Parking is available at the cemetery, visitors are asked to ensure all roadways are kept clear.

Tickets will be $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for 17 and under, and will include admission to the Museum on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum; advance purchase is strongly encouraged.

Topics will cover death, gun fights, and/or hangings, so parental discretion is advised.
