An early morning traffic collision on Highway 101 between Hopland and Cloverdale has reportedly resulted in a vehicle stuck in the center median. Personnel on the scene have established traffic controls to guide drivers around the incident.

The initial dispatch came in at 6:44 a.m. specifying the incident was “just south” of the Geysers Road exit, just a stone’s throw north of the Sonoma County line.

Initial descriptions of the accident describe one vehicle off to the side of the roadway and another that spun out facing northbound in the southbound #1 lane.

Originally, an air ambulance was requested but all assets declined due to weather.

UPDATE 7:06 a.m.: The incident is characterized as a non-injury accident. Personnel at the scene are securing the roadway as they wait for the tow truck to remove the vehicle from the center median. There is also chatter from CHP attempting to piece together how the accident actually occurred.

UPDATE 8:05 a.m.: The roadway is now clear.
