The following is a press release issued by the Clearlake Police Department:
On March 11, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Clearlake police officers responded to the 15300 block of Lakeshore Drive for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers and personnel from the Lake County Fire Protection District arrived a short time later. Brandon Horner, a 19-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives responded to the location and began an investigation into the circumstances regarding the shooting. At this time, it appears the shooting occurred at a different location. ?So sad… praying for this young man’s family. May the Lord Jesus Christ help them and comfort them. Too many of our young people die needlessly. I don’t know the situation. At all.
