Law enforcement and medical personnel are converging on a Brooktrails’ residence after reports emerged of an assault taking place in which the suspect poured boiling water on the victim.

Initial scanner traffic emerged around 7:05 p.m. indicating the incident occurred on the 25000 block of Daphne Way.

Two reporting parties, the victim and another person at the residence, told dispatch a white female adult had brandished a knife at the male victim and proceeded to pour boiling water on him.

Medics were requested to the scene to treat injuries describing the patient as “burned on the scalp with boiling water.”

UPDATE 10:03 p.m.: We have learned that the victim who suffered burns from the boiling water was in fact a woman, not a man as previously reported.

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. 1. ?? Matt, I have heard of 3 overdose deaths in Ukiah and Willits that happened in the last week. And these are just the ones that I have heard of. No doubt there were more.

What I want to know, is what can I do to help save a life?

I also want to know why I rarely hear about these individuals in the news?

Occasionally I hear statistics or an occasional story about an overdose, but it’s way more prevalent that occasional. And very depersonalized. They have names and stories. They are our fellow humans.

If a person finds theirselves addicted to Heroin, Fentanyl, or pills, what can they do immediately to get help and where should they go?

??????First pray and ask God and or Jesus for help. Second, I would say, call the Hillside health Clinic in Ukiah on Laws Avenue and make an appt. for the Suboxone program. It will very possibly help you get your life back on track.

Always carry Narcan and fentanyl strips (I believe you can get the strips free at MCAVN on Clara Street in Ukiah) and PLEASE NEVER GET HIGH ALONE because no one will be there to help you if the unthinkable overdose should happen.

There are other clinics in every county as well as the local hospitals that can provide info.

?Life is a gift. Please love your life enough to get help. Please know that you are loved dearly by God (Who gave you life) and your family & friends. There are even strangers who care about you and don’t want you to die.

I’m praying for all that are struggling with addiction. You CAN get free! I know because I overcame my own addictions with the help of God and a local clinic.

Do not underestimate the power of prayer ?.

    • Well local, it’s like the late Sinead O’Connor said and I’m paraphrasing: the cause of all problems is child abuse. These people are out doing drugs cause their childhoods sucked. Could be an asshole dad, a drunk mom or any combination of the two. Adverse childhoods lead to the inability to care about oneself. Nialhism. I recommend telling every kid you know that they are good at something. Peace

      • So true!!! Soul wounds are devastating many lives are ruined by childhood trauma. Mine was for decades. Once it’s happened there is only one way to overcome. That is with JESUS. I know many will roll their eyes or scoff. Or mock. But I am a living testimony and I know of many others. I do know some who have improved thru counciling. AA. Or therapy. But they aren’t completly free. If you are suffering and truely want to be set free call on the name of JESUS.

      • These people are out there doing drugs and living on the streets because of the inability to get their shit together.
We all have our own conscious minds and we make all our own decisions.
Try to put yourself in their shoes for five minutes.

        Highest regards

        T.J.R
