State Route 128, one of Mendocino County’s primary east/west corridors, has reopened after a brief closure due to flooding. We caught scanner traffic from personnel at the scene indicating the waters have receded and the roadway is open to travelers.
According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page, reports of the flooding initially emerged around 2:00 this morning and Caltrans District 1 announced an official closure around 7:00.
The closure ran from SR-128’s intersection with State Route 1 on the coast inland to Navarro.
Those who travel SR-128 regularly know the roadway is often flooded after significant rain events. The section that closed this morning runs along the banks of the Navarro River impacting the nearby roadway
Why don’t you include a sentence about routes around it, Flynn Creek and greenwood Ridge are no secret.
