Tragic Morning Fire Claims Life in Lucerne

A residential structure fire in the Lake County town of Lucerne tragically took the life of one occupant this morning.

Scanner traffic began around 5:51 a.m. this morning indicating that an RV was fully involved in the area of County Club Drive and Cottage City Drive within the Lucerne Country Club Mobile Home Park.

Within 15 minutes, firefighters arrived at the scene, conducted a search of the structure, and confirmed they located a body inside.

A coroner was requested to the scene. The Incident Commander reported the fire was contained by 7:08 a.m.
