Symphony of the Redwoods Presents ‘Musical Journeys’ Concert in Fort Bragg

Get ready for a musical odyssey as the Symphony of the Redwoods brings you their captivating “Musical Journeys Concert” on Saturday, March 16, at 7:30 pm (with a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 pm) and Sunday, March 17, at 2:00 pm (with a pre-concert lecture at 1:00 pm).

Held at Cotton Auditorium in Fort Bragg, the event promises to transport audiences to exotic destinations through underperformed masterworks. Renowned conductor Maestro Bryan Nies will lead the Symphony, featuring the exceptional talents of violinist Andrew Sords.

The concert program boasts a diverse selection of musical gems, including Bruch’s “Scottish Fantasy, op. 46,” showcasing the virtuosic skills of Andrew Sords. Victor Bendix’s “Symphony No. 3, A minor, op. 25,” will take listeners on a journey through contrasting moods and rhythms.

The performance will culminate with Borodin’s lively and celebratory “Polovistian Dances,” a testament to the skill and artistry of the Symphony of the Redwoods orchestra.
