According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol, on 02/12/2024 at around 0624 hours, a Hispanic adult male from Ukiah, California (Party #1) was driving a 2000 Nissan Frontier (Vehicle #1) with two passengers. Traveling westbound on State Route 20, east of Witter Springs Road, Party #1 attempted to overtake other vehicles by steering into the opposing eastbound lane. This resulted in a head-on collision with a 2011 Toyota Prius (Vehicle #2) driven by Party #2, an individual from Miranda, California, whose identity is currently withheld.

The collision proved fatal for Party #2 and the rear passenger of Vehicle #1, Passenger #2 from Ukiah, California, whose identity is pending notification to their families. Party #1 and Passenger #1 were extricated from Vehicle #1 with major injuries.

At the scene, Party #1 was arrested for DUI before being airlifted to a neighboring hospital in Vacaville, CA.

The investigation by CHP Clear Lake Area, Officer K. Brown, suggests alcohol intoxication as a potential contributing factor in the crash. The incident remains under active investigation.

    • It’s just a description. People use words to describe things in life, that’s just what it is. Get over yourself. They didn’t say “ugly” or “dirty” Hispanic. Just Hispanic adult male. If you get offended that easily I don’t know how you are going to make it through the rest of your life, but I wish you luck.

      • Apparently Joe would prefer: Darker than normal Caucasian skin tone, however not as dark as African AMERICAN. Possibly of Southern, South of America, descent. May speak broken English, with a Latin influence.

      • Yes let’s do talk about drunk driving!! Son of a bich there are a lot of Hispanic males driving drunk in the booking log. Whimper , snivel ,whine. Do whatever you want if you don’t believe it? Pay attention to the booking log your own self. Statistics don’t lie Maybe there’s a reason for stereotypes ??? Robberies lean towards young black males too. Not my fault I don’t rob or drive drunk

    • Joe, I’m Hispanic. And guess what I’m not offended!!! I want to know if he is an illegal alien. Why, because he should be identified and we should never let him out —ever! These were good men. They should be alive right now. You better believe I’m wanting to know.

  1. How about a fucking dirtbag piece of shit! Who should be charged with two counts of 1st degree murder and locked up at pelican bay prison for the remainder of his sorry existence. I make the commute almost daily from Lakeport to Ukiah and have several close calls a month with morons just like him.

  2. I’m still wondering why this piece of crap drunk drivers name is still not put in these write ups. Just a 20 something year old hispanic male. Well he’s 20 something meaning you can post his name. How can he still be unidentified unless he’s an illegal alien. ? So he alsoust be in the hospital under Jon Doe??? I hope he’s sentenced to the extent of the law for double homicide.

  3. If they simply stated “Male”… It would have been subject. Joe needs to get over himself, find the midol and get in touch with life. They could have stated a white, black, brown, red, or rainbow colored male and he would still bitch! Some people cannot be helped.

    • Perhaps Joes real issue transcends racial profiling? Could be that HE,HIM? was more offended that the suspect involved was catogorized as one of the TWO GENDERS? And not what is it the number now seventy two? I’ve lost track and i clearly do not buy into it.
