The Redwood Coast Region Economic Summit: Together Towards Tomorrow, is a 2-day event designed to foster a future-ready economy that appeals to and supports the dreams of young employees and entrepreneurs throughout Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino Counties, and adjacent tribal lands.
This year’s theme, ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ reflects our shared vision for a rural region that is not just a place to live, but a place where the next generation can thrive, innovate, and shape the future.
Susan Seaman, Program Director for the Arcata Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) shared her excitement for this year’s summit, stating, “’Together Towards Tomorrow’ isn’t just our theme; it’s our shared vision for nurturing a vibrant and sustainable future for our workforce. This regional event has become a great resource for sharing best practices for addressing issues that affect economic growth in our region. Additionally, through in-person networking, we’re strengthening the relationships that can help us better understand and advocate for policies that support our rural region.”
Day 1 of the Summit is dedicated to laying the groundwork for a future-ready economy. Under the theme ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’, participants will engage in a series of interactive sessions and workshops designed to spark collaboration. Keynote speakers and panels will share insights on building an opportunity-rich environment. Together, we will explore how collaboration and connectivity can fuel sustainable growth and help our rural region thrive.
Day 2 will dive deeper into what it takes to build a supportive economy. Through a blend of expert-led discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees will learn more about actionable strategies that local businesses, policymakers, and community leaders can adopt to make the Redwood Coast Region not just a place to live, but a place where we retain and support our workforce.
