On May 24, 2024, around 4:00 PM, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a silent panic alarm triggered by the store clerk at Soda Bay Market. The clerk told deputies that a robbery had just occurred. Over $2000 in cash and merchandise was stolen. Deputies reviewed the surveillance footage, which showed the suspect wearing a white motorcycle helmet and using what appeared to be a handgun to commit the robbery. Before deputies could arrive, the suspect fled on a motorcycle towards Buckingham.

Using the Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras in the area, a deputy reviewed all motorcycles that had traveled in the area of the robbery during the days prior. The deputy found a matching motorcycle with a rider wearing what appeared to be the same helmet and having a similar build to the robbery suspect. A records check using the motorcycle’s license plate found a registered owner and address of Bryan Bouchard, 57, of Kelseyville. The deputy drove past the registered owner’s house and located the motorcycle.

Today, May 29, 2024, deputies and detectives served a search warrant at the residence in the 5000 block of Vista Drive in Kelseyville. They recovered $461 in cash, tobacco, rolling papers, and other evidence related to the robbery.

Bouchard was arrested and transported to the Hill Road Correctional Facility, where he was booked on multiple charges related to second-degree robbery.

  1. These highway license plate reading cameras are paying for themselves and then some. City of Ukiah seems to be finding a stolen car about once a month.

    • Deflection, a time-honored tactic of the dull and cowardly. Curious how you’d bring up an irrelevant person (Hillary) instead of the one convicted of crimes. Almost like you can’t face the truth, coward.

        • Come on now Bradley…Raylan Givens is the name of a character on a former tv series called Justified.
The poster is as likely to be a russian troll as much as a simple.american bigot with little, if any, knowledge of the American criminal justice system and Constitutional liberties and values

And, you give way too much credence for someone using a “real name” on an internet comment section.
There is a long history of acceptance and reasoning to use a nom de guerre on such a site, especially in our small population area, as nutburgers have been known to harass, or much worse, people with divergent opinions.

          Get over it.

          • I just figured that out. I just watched a YouTube video of his highlights. He is a pretty good shot. I don’t watch much T.V. But I have nothing to hide nor be ashamed of. My opinions I own. And my name is the one on my birth certificate. I don’t own a single social media account. If people want to physically target me for my opinions I say bring it. I’m damn near as good a shot as Raylan Givens. Every person that has ever known me will testify to this. Why wouldn’t I use my real name? Nothing to hide and nothing to fear. People on this platform’s comment section are pathetic. Just waiting to strike like a vulture in a tree, being patient for the deer to die on the side of the road. It doesn’t matter their opinions. The commenters just wait for a flaw or weak spot in their thinking then tear them to pieces under an anonymous name. That is what cowardice is. I’m not up too much politicly but this is where I get my local news. Most of the time I regret reading the comments. It just shows me who my neighbors are. I always forget what my grandparents taught me about religion and politics. That I should keep my mouth shut. What happened to respect and civility? This is not the place to find it.
