A motorcycle crash in Lake County this evening left the rider with major injuries, necessitating an airlift to an out-of-area hospital.

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicates the crash occurred around 6:46 p.m. near the 16000 block of Golf Road just off State Route 175 between Cobb and Middletown.

Information gathered from the On The Scanner Lake County Facebook Page states the motorcycle was reportedly blocking the roadway initially after the incident and approximately one hour after the collision the patient was enroute to Santa Rosa Memorial via air ambulance.
