4.3 Magnitude Quake Jolts Laytonville

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake rattled the area near Laytonville, California, this evening, the United States Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck at 8:46 p.m. local time, centered 3.10 miles west-southwest of Laytonville. The earthquake’s depth was measured at 1.98 miles below the surface.

No immediate reports of damage have been made.

  1. Thank you very much. I’m at work in Santa Rosa . I just came upon your warning. Last warning was on our phones just before it shook. Our 1st warning. My son and granddaughter felt it. We had time to jump up , get our mind in gear.
