On the evening of 06/25/2024, Ukiah Police Department (UPD) Officers responded to 390 East Gobbi Street for a report of a robbery. A 28-year-old male subject reported that two suspects had robbed him of his bicycle and other personal belongings. One of the suspects was later identified as 20-year-old, Bryan Gonzales. The other suspect has yet to be identified.

UPD Officers reviewed surveillance footage in the area and UPD Officers observed two suspects approach the victim in a gray Acura MDX SUV. The two suspects exited the vehicle and forcefully took the victim’s bicycle and other personal belongings from within close proximity to him. Gonzales took the victim’s personal belongings, entered the Acura, and left the area. The unidentified suspect left the area on the victim’s bicycle and traveled eastbound on East Gobbi Street.

UPD Officers utilized the FLOCK camera system to obtain a license plate of the Acura. UPD Officers checked the area for the Acura and located it on the 700 block of Orr St in Ukiah. UPD Officers also located a silver  Honda Accord that had an identified stolen item in the passenger side of the vehicle in plain view. It was later determined that Gonzales was associated with an address in that area.

A UPD Officer authored a search warrant, which was granted by the Mendocino County Superior Courthouse.  The warrant was served, and various stolen items were recovered during the service. Gonzales was also located and placed under arrest. Gonzales was charged with the above-mentioned charges and booked at the Mendocino  County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation and if anybody has any information, please contact the UPD Detective Bureau.
