A tragic accident involving a Razor-brand ATV left one dead and several others injured in Lower Lake tonight, Thursday, July 11, 2024.

The incident occurred at Schwartz Lane and North Road around 9:21 p.m. when four children flipped the ATV and crashed down a ravine. Emergency services were immediately dispatched, with an air ambulance and a second ground ambulance called to the scene.

At least two of the children required major extrication. Sadly, upon arrival, medics declared one of the four deceased and had to rescue the three other injured patients from the ravine.

  1. Omg, this kills me! That poor baby and the injured and family. I had a very good friend whom I worked with for 14 years die last year in UTV crash (Amy Preston, you can look her up. It was Memorial Day). These vehicles are INHERENTLY dangerous. I really feel like a campaign needs to happen like seat belts back in the 80’s being mandatory and PSAs and legislation. People need to pass a special driving test with heavy fines for under-aged or unlicensed operators.

  2. Absolutely heart breaking.. this is a horrific event that will forever live with this family, it saddens me so deeply.. I also believe seat belts should be mandatory with these off road vehicles. Heart breaking

    • A seat belt on a atv…. you’ve never been on one obviously that’s more dangerous than what happened, ya need to be able to jump away from it for safety reasons, the fucking parents should have never let the Littles on it, I live 2 blocks away from where this happened, it’s adults at fault here not the kids
