Vehicle Strikes Young Cyclist in Fort Bragg, Facial Injuries Reported

A vehicle struck a juvenile on a bike this evening in Fort Bragg reportedly resulting in facial injuries.

Scanner traffic regarding the incident began around 7:43 p.m. when dispatch requested medical personnel respond to the intersection of South Franklin Street and Chestnut Street where the collision occurred.

An air ambulance was initially requested but later canceled after first responders assessed the severity of the situation and determined ground medics were sufficient.
