A wildfire dubbed the “Reservoir Fire” has erupted in rural Lake County, with officials estimating it could expand to 100 acres.
The fire was first reported at 2:06 p.m. near the Indian Valley Reservoir Dam northeast of Clear Lake. According to initial reports, the blaze has already consumed 40 acres of dry grass and continues to spread.
Air and ground resources are currently being deployed to combat the fire, which is surrounded by roads on two sides.
UPDATE 3:29 p.m.: Airborn firefighting personnel are reporting the fire grew to sixty acres but now looks to be holding along a road system.
