SFGATE: Giants Legend Buster Posey Purchases Renowned Mendocino County Hunting Retreat

Categories:

Hey Folks-

I bring big news in my writing life in the form of the link above. SFGATE, in my humble opinion, is the freshest news publisher the traditional market offers.

This last summer, SFGATE editorial staff reached out inviting me to apply to be their North Coast Contributing Editor covering the life and times of Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, and California’s rural north.

After several rounds of interviews, I’m thrilled to say I got the job. The story linked above is my first publication with SFGATE, and I’m proud it focuses on the county I’ve reported on for the past five years. Give it a read! And Mendo friends, if you spot Buster Posey around town, be sure to give him a wave—we’ve got a Giant among us now.

I also want to thank my family, friends, and readers for your unwavering support over these last five years. I couldn’t have made it here without you.

MendoFever isn’t going anywhere. While SFGATE will be looking for stories with a broader, regional focus, Mendocino still needs its hyper-local coverage, and MendoFever will continue to deliver.

As always, reach out if you know of a story that needs to be told. Stay strong.

  1. Hopefully this will cast a regional eye on local corruption like Eyster, Murray, and Wadelich, just to name a few of the Mendocino sleazebags.

  2. Congrats Matt!
Lets convince Buster Posey to allow Kids Outdoors Sports Camp to continue using the 6 point ranch. As of now I have heard he will not allow the program to continue using the ranch. A massive loss for youth development in the outdoor sports Posey so loved when he was a child. Just my 2 cents
