Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area of Alderwood Drive in Mendocino due to ongoing law enforcement activity, according to a Nixle alert issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s personnel were dispatched to a residence north of Mendocino following a report of a domestic violence incident, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Captain Quincy Cromer said.
“Based on the circumstances encountered at the scene, SWAT resources have been requested to respond and assist,” Cromer said.
Officials did not immediately release further details about the situation. Residents are advised to stay clear of the area until law enforcement declares it safe.
UPDATE 5:34 p.m.: Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Captain Quincy Cromer confirmed the “suspected has been detained without further incident.”

In a supposedly free country you don’t lock down anyone’s right to free movement no matter the circumstances. For them to say law enforcement locks down neighborhood should alarm any free willed patriot.
It is perfectly reasonable and allowed by law for law enforcement to inform residents to lockdown as they are apprehending a suspect.
