20-Year-Old San Francisco driver killed in Mendocino Crash

A 20-year-old San Francisco man was killed on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 in a solo vehicle crash on a foggy stretch of State Route 128 in Mendocino County, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred around 9:42 p.m. near mile post marker 7.80, according to a CHP press release. The driver of a 2017 Honda Fit was heading westbound when he lost control, veered off the roadway, and collided with a tree. Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

The Ukiah Daily Journal identified the drive as Isaac D. Landman 

Weather conditions at the time included fog, but the CHP stated that impairment is not suspected. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Ukiah Area CHP.
