Fort Bragg collision sends water gushing skyward

A two-vehicle collision at the Boatyard Shopping Center in Fort Bragg on Tuesday evening resulted in a dramatic water geyser after a fire hydrant was struck, according to initial reports.

Scanner traffic indicated the crash occurred around 5:50 p.m. at 185 Boatyard Drive. No injuries were reported. Images from the scene provided by a local resident show water shooting skyward from the damaged hydrant.

Fort Bragg Public Works was notified of the incident.
