UPDATE: FREE COVID-19 TESTING AVAILABLE TODAY TO MENDOCINO COAST RESIDENTS

UPDATE: The flier provided by the Mendocino Coast Clinics has the incorrect address of the testing site. The testing site will be at 630 Maple Street. Those interested in being tested will go the the School Patio the left of the building where technicians will be waiting to facilitate the tests.

The area left of the church referred to as the “School Patio” will be the site of the testing.

Mendocino Coast Clinics will be offering free COVID-19 testing from 11:00 am-4:00 pm at 530 Maple Street in Fort Bragg. According to a press release issued regarding the surveillance testing, the site can provide testing for approximately 150 people and is free to all who come. Organizers encourage coastal residents who are in “contact with a lot of people like those who work at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, health care workers” come to be tested to ensure they are not infected.

Mendocino Coast Clinics (MCC) is offering surveillance testing at Our Lady of Good Counsel, School Patio, tentatively scheduled on Sunday, July 19th. 2020, the tests will begin at 11:00. We will have the capacity to test about 150 people. If you are unsure of what surveillance testing is or why it is important? Please see the details below.

Surveillance testing: What is it? This is testing that is done on individuals who do not have symptoms of Coronavirus. It is done widespread in the community to check for disease that is not causing illness to the carrier and to ensure that community members who have contact with a lot of people like those who work at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, health care workers are not infected. How much does it cost? At this time, this type of test is free of charge.
