This weekend, two COVID-19 testing sites will be available for Mendocino County residents, one in Laytonville and one in Redwood Valley.
The Laytonville testing opportunity will this Friday, July 31 from 9-11 am taking place in the parking lot of the Long Valley Health Center at 50 Branscomb Road. The test is “drive-thru” and is first-come, first-serve. To address any questions, residents are encouraged to contact 707-984-6131. This same testing site will be available on August 14 and August 28 from 9-11 am.
On Saturday, August 1 from 8-11 am, COVID-19 testing is being offered to the public by the Consolidated Tribal Health Project and the Coyote Valley Tribe in collaboration with Mendocino County Public Health. Report to the Coyote Valley Reservation’s gymnasium in Redwood Valley for either drive-thru or walk-up testing. There are no reservations required and participants are asked to wear a mask upon arrival.
For residents of the Ukiah Valley, the OptumServe testing site located in the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds continues to be available to the public. According to the County of Mendocino website, the site is open to the public “Tuesday – Saturday from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, 1055 N. State St., Ukiah CA 95482 in the Fine Arts Building.” The County of Mendocino encourages the public to schedule an appointment by calling 888-634-1123 or by visiting https://lhi.care/covidtesting.”
