Police Seek Witnesses of Shots Fired in Ukiah Neighborhood

The following is a Press Release from the Ukiah Police Department

On 7/29/2020 at approx. 1710 hours, UPD Officers were dispatched to a report of a shots fired in the area of 800 Waugh Lane. UPD patrol units arrived on scene and contacted two occupants of a residence in the 800 block. The residents relayed to UPD Officers that someone had shot into their residence on todays date an also on 7/27/2020. The residents advised Officers that they had not reported the shooting on 7/27/2020 and that no occupants had been injured in either incident. 

UPD Officers began their investigation and located obvious bullet holes in the exterior of the residence and recovered shell casings from the scene. UPD Officers canvassed the area for potential witnesses and additional evidence. 

If anyone witnessed anything in the area on either 7/27/2020 or 7/29/2020 relating to the above incident they would be urged to contact the UPD at 707-463-6262. UPD is continuing to investigate the incident at this time to develop further leads. 

The Ukiah Police Department would like to remind the great citizens of Ukiah that during the current COVID-19 pandemic we are still out in the city enforcing the law and keeping the public safe. As always, our mission at the Ukiah Police Department is to make Ukiah as safe as possible.
