Sherwood Oaks Outbreak Update: Patients Improving & Facility Cleaned

Categories:

The following is a press release written by the Medical Director of Sherwood Oaks Doctor John Cottle:

Wednesday was a good day at Sherwood Oaks. No new cases were identified, and two of our residents who recovered at Adventist Health Mendocino Coast returned to the facility they know as home. The last resident in our Covid area, a block of 8 rooms which have been sealed off from the rest of the facility, completed recovery and moved to the main facility. The COVID area was professionally cleaned Wednesday, and will be opened to accept the remaining 7 residents in the hospital as they complete recovery. The 3 heroic nurses who worked in the COVID zone will be in voluntary quarantine for 7 more days, and be tested again before returning to work.

The 5 staff and 7 residents not fully recovered from COVID continue to slowly improve.
