[UPDATES] Fire Burning East Side Of Ukiah Valley on Vichy Springs Road

This article is based on initial reports and will get updated as the situation evolves.

Scanner reports indicate fire resources are being called to address a vegetation fire burning in the location 1800 Vichy Springs Road east of Ukiah. First responders said smoke from the fire can be seen from Perkins Road.

The scanner indicates the fire is moving at a slow rate of spread south bound towards a residence.

An evacuation warning is being issued for area near the fire.

UPDATE 5:00 pm

Scanner reports indicate the fire is approximately 1/4 acre and growing at a moderate rate of spread. The fire is being called the ‘Spring Incident’.

UPDATE: 5:05 pm

Scanner reports indicate the fire is 1/4 acre in the grass and one structure is possibly threatened. First responders are quickly getting control of the fire and are monitoring for potential spot fires.

5:09 pm

Scanner reports indicate air resources for the fire have been cancelled indicating the fire is getting under control.

UPDATE 5:24

Scanner traffic indicates that any evacuations orders associated with ‘Spring Incident’ have been rescinded.
