Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 1

The following is a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol:

On 10/08/20, at approximately 1545 hours, James Kennemore (motorcyclist) was traveling southbound on State Route 1, north of Abalobadiah Creek Bridge, at an unknown speed. For an unknown reason, Kennemore allowed his vehicle (Harley Davidson) to travel off of the roadway edge, in an easterly direction, where it collided with a tree, and overturned into Abalobadiah Creek. As a result of these collisions, Kennemore sustained fatal injuries. Kennemore was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered to be a factor in this collision. The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
