According to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher, the Willits Bypass section of Highway 101 is currently closed due to a fatal accident.
Scanner traffic indicates that at approximately 5:45 p.m., a traffic collision occurred between a vehicle and a semi-truck leading to one fatality and the closure of the Willits Bypass section of Highway 101.
Willits Police Department said on their Facebook page that, “Traffic control in place and CHP is working a major collision on the Hwy 101 bypass. Traffic is being diverted through town, please be aware of additional vehicles traveling on S Main Street while CHP and Little Lake Fire work.”
