[UPDATE: Victim of Suicide] Body Found Underneath Fort Bragg’s Noyo Bridge

According to scanner reports, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a body was found underneath the southern end of Fort Bragg’s Noyo Bridge.

MendoFever’s coastal correspondent Keri Ann Bourne was on scene and documented Mendocino County Sheriff deputies pilot a small boat to the body, place it inside the craft, and return it to the harbor. 

MendoFever is awaiting a statement from Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office regarding the discovery of the body.

UPDATE 2:20 p.m.

According to Captain Greg Van Patten, the Public Information Officer for the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, the body below Fort Bragg’s Noyo Bridge is a Fort Bragg resident who “committed suicide by jumping off the bridge.” Captain Van Patten offered that the possible motive was “health problems.”
