[UPDATE: Roadway Cleared] Sedan Overturns North of Willits Partially Blocking Highway 101 North and South Bound Lanes

This screenshot of the Caltrans Quickmap indicates that traffic is slowing down near the site of the accident and a Waze alert characterizes the incident as a “major accident.”

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicates t 9:15 a.m., a solo vehicle accident occurred approximately 3 miles north of Willits in which a silver sedan overturned in the roadway.

Both driver and passenger have self-extricated from the overturned vehicle and both appear to have minor injuries, as per the CHP Traffic Incident Information page.

The Traffic Incident Information page indicates that both the north and south bound lanes are partially blocked and this could impede thru traffic.

The Caltran Quickmap indicates that traffic is slowing down near the site of the accident and a Waze alert characterizes the incident as a “major accident.”

A tow truck as been assigned to the scene.
