Juvenile Medevacked Suffering Major Injuries After Being Struck by Vehicle Near Low Gap Road’s Little League Fields

Categories:

At approximately 6:10 p.m., scanner traffic indicated a juvenile was struck by a silver Jeep in the area of Ukiah’s Little League fields on Low Gap Road. The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicates the incident resulted in a “major injury.”

A REACH air ambulance responded to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley flying the juvenile to Oakland Children’s Hospital

A Ukiah resident who was at the little league fields told us they did not directly see the incident but heard a “crunching sound and some screaming.” After this, the Ukiah resident heard a driver emerge from the vehicle saying “they didn’t run her over.”

California Highway Patrol and the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were deployed to the scene and are investigating the registered owner of the Jeep.
