Early Morning Vehicle Fire in Redwood Valley Leaves Camper ‘Completely Destroyed’

Categories:

At approximately 6:00 a.m., firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Redwood Valley near Uva Drive and Bell Arbres Drive where they found a camper engulfed in flames. Redwood Valley Calpella Fire Department Chief Don Dale told us the cause at this point is undetermined.

Chief Dale said the fire did not spread into nearby wild land and no one got hurt. He characterized the vehicle as “completely destroyed” as firefighters arrived on scene. Two Cal Fire engines assisted Redwood Valley Calpella Fire Department in extinguishing the blaze.

“If this would have been a different day with different winds, it could’ve been a problem,” Chief Dale told us.

Chief Dale asked the community to be firewise with their personal belongings. He asked specifically those with campers and recreational vehicles to be mindful of any extension cords running electricity or propane/gas heating systems.
