Categories:

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate at approximately 12:50 p.m. a big rig struck a motorcyclist on Highway 20 between Lucerne and Glenhaven in Lake County. A first responder told the dispatcher CPR is in progress and an air ambulance has been requested to the scene.

The dispatcher was told that the eastbound land is blocked and traffic is backing up according to Google Maps.

The motorcycle “appears to have been hit by a vehicle” and the motorcycle rider was reportedly “under the bike.” At one point in the scanner traffic, the motorcycle rider was referred to as “possible 11-44,” meaning possibly deceased.

UPDATE 2:08 p.m. Both scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic incident information page have revealed that the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries.
