[UPDATES] Woman Reportedly Firing Machine Gun After Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Leggett

At approximately 9:37 p.m. law enforcement and emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 1 near Leggett after reports emerged of multiple traffic collisions with reports of machine gun fire in the area.

A woman at the scene is apparently firing a machine gun after suffering head trauma, as reported by multiple 911 callers to dispatch.

The CHP Incident page indicates that the firearm is in one of the vehicle, as of 10:05 p.m.

The reported traffic collisions are connected to woman being pursued by her boyfriend who was trying to retrieve the vehicle, as per the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page.

UPDATE 10:16 p.m.: CHP reportedly has one in custody, as per scanner traffic. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has been canceled but are going to continue to the scene.
