At approximately 6:47 a.m. the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page and police scanner traffic began to report a head-on between two vehicles colliding on Highway 101 north of Willits.
The reporting party told dispatch that CHP officers are on the scene of the collision between a silver sedan and a white sports utility vehicle.
A flatbed tow truck has been requested to the scene due to the collision resulting in the SUV having rollover damage.
The CalTrans Quickmap indicates traffic has slowed in the area of the traffic collision.
UPDATE 7:11 a.m.: Scanner traffic indicates that the traffic collision has resulted in one driver suffering from minor injuries and the other described as a “walking wounded.”
UPDATE 7:15 a.m.: The CHP Traffic Incident Information page says the northbound #2 lane is blocked as a result of the traffic collision.
UPDATE 7:34 a.m.: The two patients associated with the traffic collision are now being transported to Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits.
UPDATE 7:39 a.m.: The Incident Commander reported the incident has been terminated and all units are now available.
