[UPDATE 9:24 Video of Crew Opening Road] Hwy 101 Closed North of Leggett

Hwy 101 is closed north of Leggett near the Peg House after a tree fell bringing down a powerline about 7 a.m.

According to Caltrans, “There is currently no estimated time of reopening.”

Traffic is backed up in both directions.

UPDATE 9:10 a.m.: Caltrans District 1 announced on their Facebook page that Highway 101 is now “open and clear” to vehicle traffic.

UPDATE 9:24 a.m.: Video of crews removing the downed tree from the road by Bryn Coriell.
