Police Investigating After Twenty-Four Gunshots Fired into Ukiah Apartment Last Night Injuring One

The following is a press release issued by the Ukiah Police Department:

On 09/20/2021, Ukiah PD dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots heard in the 800  block of Cindee Drive, as well as a gunshot victim at 833 Cindee Drive. UPD Officers, as well as UVFA and  EMS, responded to the area. Upon arrival, Officers located a 34-year-old male who had suffered a gunshot wound to his hand. The male victim was transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley via ambulance, where he was treated for his injury. UPD Detectives were summoned to the scene and assumed the investigation.  

Evidence at the scene suggested that a person or persons exited a vehicle and fired approximately 24  shots into the residences located at 833 and 835 Cindee Drive. Numerous shots were fired at an upstairs bedroom inside 833 Cindee Drive. The male victim was associated with 833 Cindee Drive.  

This is an on-going investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact UPD’s Detective Bureau.
