Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate a motorcyclist has suffered major injuries after crashing on Highway 101 south of the Ridgewood Grade.

The CalTrans Quickmap indicates traffic has been slowed due to the collision and the #2 lane was partially blocked minutes after the collision. The motorcyclist is being transported to Howard Memorial where an air ambulance is slated to transport them to an out-of-area hospital.

A tow truck has been dispatched to the scene to tow away the motorcycle.

UPDATE 2:56 p.m.: The CHP Incident page states the roadway is now open and the CalTrans Quick map indicates traffic is flowing smoothly once again.
