Willits Man Booked for Domestic Violence

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 09-14-2021 at about 5:45 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported domestic dispute which had occurred in the 20000 block of South Main Street in Willits, California. 

During the investigation, Deputies learned an adult female and her boyfriend, Kelly Fonsen, had been in drinking all day and had been in an argument. During the argument the adult female sustained visible injuries from Fonsen, which required medical attention. 

Deputies later contacted Fonsen and he was subsequently arrested for Domestic Violence Battery [273.5 PC] and Battery Causing Great Bodily Injury [243(D) PC].

Fonsen was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
