39-Year-Old Fort Bragg Man Injured After Vehicle Strikes Him and Flees; Police Seeking Information

Categories:

Fort Bragg resident Grace Potter told us yesterday at approximately 11:19 a.m. her 39-year-old brother-in-law was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of Main Street and Oak Street causing injuries to his face, shoulder, and breaking multiple teeth.

A Facebook post from the Fort Bragg Police Department confirmed “a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian” occurred at this intersection and investigators are actively seeking information about the vehicle reportedly involved in the hit and run.

Potter said the only information they have gathered regarding the involved vehicle is “it was a gray/ light-colored SUV heading South.”

As to the injuries suffered by the 39-year-old, Potter said her brother-in-law was in the hospital for four hours yesterday and was able to return home yesterday evening. Potter said, “most of the injures are to his face/head” including a fractured orbital, broken front teeth, significant cuts/scrapes on his face, a possible concussion, and shoulder pain.

FBPD asks that if there are any members of the public that witnessed the hit and run, to please come forward and speak with FBPD’s Officer Lopez at (707)964-0200.
