The family of Roger Alberto Ek Góngora sadly shares that Roger passed away unexpectedly at Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland on December 8th, 2021. Roger was born on March 22, 2004, in Yucatan, Mexico, seventeen years old and was a member of the Fort Bragg High School Class of 2022.
Roger was the adored son of Maria Verónica Reyes and Jorge Ramón Ek Poot. He is survived by his heartbroken parents, loving family, close friends, teachers, and classmates. He leaves behind his brother, Felipe Vincent Ek Góngora and sister-in-law, Cinthia Jiminez Uicab of Yucatan, Mexico; sister, Maricruz White and brother-in-law, Will White and brother, Jorge Ramón Ek Góngora and sister-in-law, Kayla Ek of Fort Bragg, California and his cherished girlfriend, Ana Romero. Roger was a loving uncle to his nephew and nieces, William Martin White-Ek, Kaleah Anahi Ek, Jessie Angelyn Ek Jiminez and to Nova Holly Ek, who will be born in February 2022.
A celebration of life will be in January 2022, but a date has still not been set. Empire Mortuary Services of Ukiah will be holding private services for the family.

La familia de Roger Alberto Ek Góngora comparte con tristeza que Roger falleció inesperadamente en el Hospital de niños Benioff en Oakland el 8 de diciembre de 2021. Roger nació el 22 de marzo de 2004 en Yucatán, México, de diecisiete años y miembro de clase de secundaria con graduación en Fort Bragg 2022.
Roger era el hijo adorado de Maria Verónica Góngora Reyes y Jorge Ramón Ek Poot. Le sobreviven sus padres desconsolados, su familia amorosa, amigos cercanos, maestros y compañeros de clase. Deja atrás a su hermano Felipe Vincent Ek Góngora ya su cuñada Cinthia Jiminez Uicab de Yucatán, México; hermana, Maricruz White y cuñado, Will White y hermano, Jorge Ramón Ek Góngora y cuñada, Kayla Ek de Fort Bragg, California. Y a su querida novia, Ana Romero. Roger era un tío cariñoso de su sobrino y sobrinas, William Martin White-Ek, Kaleah Anahi Ek, Jessie Angelyn Ek Jiminez y de Nova Holly Ek, que nacerá en febrero de 2022.
