Deep Valley Art Collective Celebrates Collage In Their New Exhibition ‘Cut & Paste’

Categories:

The following is a press release from the Deep Valley Arts Collective:

The Deep Valley Arts Collective and Medium Art Gallery invite you to “Cut & Paste,” an art exhibition at Medium Art Gallery in Ukiah.

Cut & Paste is a group exhibition celebrating the artistic method of collage. Artists in this medium cut and tear elements from disparate pieces to create a new form, tell a new story, or communicate a new message. We often use the new year as a milestone to reimagine and reassemble ourselves, and collage is the perfect medium to explore new possibilities.

“Cut & Paste” features artworks by Alan Slocinski, Allison Tuomala, Carter Lane, Colleen Schenck, Eloise Taesali, James D. Kester, Janet Rosen, Jazzminh Moore, Keith Hendricks, Laura Buckner, Laura Fogg, Lillian Rubie, Lisa J. Robinson, Lyn Gulyash, Marvin Schenck, Melissa Eleftherion Carr, Phyllee Binder, Robin Westcott, Rose Easterbrook, Saree Robinson, Winston Smith, and more.

  • Opening Day Friday, February 4th, 12:00-8:00 p.m.
  • The show will run through Sunday, March 20th.
  • Gallery hours are Friday 12-8 p.m., Saturday 12-6 p.m., and Sunday 12-4 p.m.

Medium Art Gallery is located inside the Pear Tree Center in Ukiah at 522 E. Perkins Street, next to Rod’s Shoes. The Deep Valley Arts Collective is a Mendocino County-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that believes in the transformative power of making and experiencing art. Formed in 2020, our mission is to create a culture that nurtures artists’ development and success while contributing to the well-being of our community.
