A dog named Reese is sorely missed by her owner Holly who is offering a $500 reward to anyone that helps locate her fur-baby.

Reese originally went missing on February 2, 2022 between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. three miles up Mendocino’s Little Lake Road off of Powers Road. Holly speculates that gunshots heard in the area could have caused her to dig under the fence and flee.

Reese is 12-years-old, has white on all four of her paws, a “white owl face”, a 1” fatty tumor on her front left upper lip, and will most likely be limping or walking slowly. She has a microchip and the last time she was seen was wearing a purple collar with information on her tag.

Reese is “a sweetheart and will sit quietly in front of you and maybe raise her left paw to gently touch you.” She might seem nervous, but Holly said Reese is not aggressive and will come if you call her.

Holly asks the community to, “Please keep a lookout for her!!” If you locate Reese, call Holly at 925-788-5762 or email her at holly@mendocinomoon.com.

  1. Definitely sleeping with the mountain lions now. Hopefully she makes it back. Maybe it’s her time, she’s getting to the age like cats they wonder off to Heaven. Hopefully you enjoyed her time on earth. Looks like a neat dog. Good Luck. I’d hike down around where she dug out & use a dog whistle or call her name, you might get lucky & find her.

  2. Mila, she is not ill in any way shape or form. Was scared by gunfire at the quarry near here and dug out of fenced yard while I was taking a friend with a broken ankle to a Dr. appt. And golly gee…you think we haven’t been hiking everyday?? Blowing her whistle, calling her name and taking her companion dog along to try and find her. Bite me Mila…I choose to find her alive. If you can’t be positive…don’t say anything ona public site. Harumpf.
