On 04/09/22 at approximately 1416 hours, Party #1 was riding his 2001 Harley Davidson eastbound on SR-20, west of Bruner Drive. For reasons still under investigation, Party #1 allowed his motorcycle to veer off the south side of the roadway. As a result, the motorcycle struck several boulders, impacted the shoreline and went into the lake. A nearby fishing boat came across the motorcycle and the rider in the lake pulled the rider to the shore and called 9-1-1. Emergency crews arrived shortly after and attempted to render medical aid. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Alcohol appears to be a factor in this crash.

The rider’s name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
