Periodico Al Punto is organizing the 7th annual Dia del Niño celebration. Day of the Child is celebrated as a tribute to children in some Latin American countries on April 30th. This tradition has been observed in Latin America since 1925. “This is the seventh year we have hosted this event in Ukiah and based on past events; we expect more than 500 people to show up,” says Jackie Orozco, organizer and Co-owner of Periodico Al Punto. There will be prizes, free raffles, games, face painting, music, and much more.
The event is this Sunday, May 1st, 2022, at the Alex Thomas Plaza, located at 310 S. State Street in Ukiah from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Al Punto paper collaborates with Vecinos en Accion (UVA) in organizing this event for children and their families. “We want to thank the Greater Ukiah Business and Tourism Alliance for helping all the sponsors that support this event,” says Jackie. This is an alcohol and smoke-free event.
