I appreciate Mendofever’s reporting very much, always. As a member of one of the communities affected by the outage (Fort Bragg) I’m left wondering how we can build a method of communication for future such events. Getting to finally learn about the Sheriff’s Office’s press release days after the event is useful, explaining its interesting and puzzling extent. I just wish we’d all been informed by some means during the outage. Flyover loudspeakers? Public vehicles with loudspeakers driving through neighborhoods? Volunteers organized to do the same? Paul Revere-style announcements from horseback? This needs some work.
